Game 1: Ambush at the Fountain

Puree is experienced Assassin Adept who leads The Kitchen Helpers, battered remains of once powerful warband who now must beg to ally with Green Flame to fight putty-faced humans. Puree laid out plan to ambush The Rebelz who have load of wyrdstone and plenty weapons, and I quietly listened with squinty eyes knowing Puree and The Kitchen Helpers will be front target while Green Flame sneaks in from second side. Puree violated my 2nd Skaven Rule of Engagement (Never fight alone) by separating from his warband to ambush from third side, and he paid price by getting overwhelmed by five to one.

Green Flame stuck together and shot stones at closest humans in fountain courtyard, but missed them all. Humans shot back, even those from very far away, so I ordered my 4th Skaven Rule of Engagement (Stay Hidden). I sent one verminkin climbing up to roof of old garrison keep to spy, only to find those smoothie humans infiltrated outside the fountain courtyard - so it was like they ambushed us!

They had one skinny Elven long-shot in tall building way across courtyard who could pick off any one of us, so we sneaked away to left. Our two night runners sneaked farther to left than all others (I wonder why?), and witnessed old Puree being taken out of action. Bong Bong, with what must have been very lucky shot, hit and killed a human warrior (afterwards the wet-nose runt bragged he was a Trick Shooter). Then humans just slipped away from us with undoubtedly lots of wyrdstone.

Charge to the next tale.
